Elgin Youth Development Group has an exciting opportunity for a Chief Executive Officer who is able to continue to develop our dynamic and growing charity.
Based in the adjoining buildings of Elgin Youth Café and The Inkwell (our new Community Hub and Kitchen), our charity runs projects and activities for both young people and other members of our community, and aims to build confidence, promote health and wellbeing and increase skills and employability. In addition to this, we run a successful venue hire and catering arm which generates income for our charitable activities. You will be leading a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, and you will create and deliver a strategic plan that will allow us to continue to provide a wide range of services for local people.
To be successful, you will have a credible track record in management with experience in the third sector and will be able to demonstrate strong leadership, financial acumen, and strategic thinking. This role is hands on and flexibility and adaptability is key. The ability to plan, organise and multi task is essential, as is the need to work with a varied and dynamic environment.

Elgin Youth Cafe is currently looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to lead our Youth Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management and support of all aspects of the Youth Team activities, which will include both evening and weekend work.

As part of the ongoing Intergenerational work that EYDG is engaged in, we are considering reinstating the Craft Group. However, before taking this any further we would like to gauge interest in such a group. We would, therefore, welcome your input via our Survey.

The EYDG will be holding the AGM at the cafe on the evening of the 21st November. All are welcome to what will be a brief business meeting followed by a look at what we have been doing for the last year and award presentations to some of our young people.

We are currently recruiting a support assistant to help manage the social enterprise – The Inkwell.
The vacancy is only open to unemployed 16 to 29 year olds who have a disability and/or long term health condition and who are on Work Choice or are Work Choice eligible.
