We are Elgin Youth Development Group, a charity and social enterprise aiming to help local people of all ages to live their life to the full.

We run a wide range of projects and activities including a drop-in Youth Cafe, after school clubs, holiday and evening activities for young people and a recently-opened community kitchen and meeting hub.  We’d like your help to start the Inkwell Catering Academy in our venue hire and catering social enterprise. We’ll offer training and work placements to young people living in Moray.

Your funding will be used to create four six-month supported and paid for work placements within our venue hire and catering social enterprise for local people aged 16 or over. They will also go through a programme of 24 training and qualification courses including REHIS (The Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland) Elementary Food Hygiene, child protection, first aid and modules designed to improve key life skills including finances, administration and time management.

We expect to improve the confidence, skills, qualifications and employability of all participants in the project.
