May at EYDG is set to be a busy month with multiple dates set for exciting events – here’s the lowdown:

Wednesday 29th May – Youth Takeover x Tim Maddams

We have the fantastic opportunity to work with Tim Maddams (pictured), formerly head chef at River Cottage, to deliver a two-course meal to the public. Tim will work closely with a group of our young people to serve Venison or Vegetable Chilli and Tres Leches Cake or Churros with pricing on a ‘pay what you can’ basis.

The event will take place on Wednesday 29th May at 6pm and all proceeds will go towards EYDG’s future work.

Booking is essential, to secure your table please email charlee@elginyouthcafe.org

Here is what Tim had to say about the upcoming event:

“In partnership with Elgin Youth Cafe, we have a shared belief that we can play a small role in supporting the community in a myriad of ways by putting on these takeover supper events, and by using a ‘pay-what-you-want’ basis for ticketing we make it friendly, accessible and totally relaxed as well as tasty, healthy and nourishing. I’m looking forward immensely to this first partnership with EYC, and I very much hope it is the beginning of a more regular event, and thanks must go to Scottish Venison and all the other supporting contributors for the positivity and generosity they have already shown.”

Friday 31st May – Band Night (Exclusive to Warehouse Members)

BAND NIGHT IS BACK!

We can’t wait to welcome back Cecilia and introduce Naive to The Warehouse stage!

These two up and coming local bands with their own unique sounds will be performing between 7pm-10pm on Friday 31st May!

This event will be taking place alongside our usual Friday night drop-in and is exclusive to The Warehouse @ EYC members.

Saturday 1st May – The Warehouse @ EYC Family Open Day

Open to all (including P7s/new S1s), our Family Open Day is the perfect opportunity to learn more about The Warehouse @ EYC.

Come along between 10am-1pm to meet the team, tour the building and have a go on our range of gaming consoles (including VR!). Our coffee shop will also be open for refreshments and a sweet treat.

There will be a neurodiverse friendly hour between 10am-11am before we have two sets of LIVE music at both 11:15am and 12:15pm.

We’d love to see you at some of these upcoming events, they’re all a great way to support EYDG and learn more about what we offer!

See you soon,

– Charlee & The EYDG Team
