The sustainability of our charity is at the forefront of our minds. We do not charge for the projects and programmes we offer our young people and so we run our social enterprise to generate income to support our charitable activities. In addition, it provides a social impact by offering employment opportunities to young people.
The Inkwell offers meeting rooms for hire and internal and external catering services. Furthermore, our purpose built Community Kitchen offers a unique opportunity for groups of all ages to come together, learn new skills and build confidence whilst celebrating a love of food.
All profits generated by The Inkwell supports our work with young people and the activities we offer at The Warehouse @EYC.
Inkwell Main is a bright studio space suitable for rehearsals, AGMs, workshops and fitness classes. Suitable for 50 seated individuals or 30-40 in a workshop environment.
Inkwell Small is a smaller studio space suitable for small meetings, events and classes. It is ideal for groups of up to 20.
HRH Princess Royal opened our Community Kitchen in 2017. It is a modern teaching kitchen, which has 7 cooking stations (one of which is wheelchair accessible) and height adjustable learning towers. We use this space to run cooking and baking classes for both the young and the young at heart.
Organisations, companies and individuals wishing to organise their own events including cookery classes, workshops, parties, team building and recipe development and testing can hire our kitchen.
From tea, coffee and handmade biscuits to buffets, soups and sandwiches. We offer outside catering options, as well as to our hires.
Our catering options can be tailored to suit all dietary requirements and seasonal offerings can be provided. All we ask is that you confirm these requirements upon booking.
Within our Community Kitchen we host our own cookery and baking classes.
Information about our upcoming sessions is below.
